John Staunton has years of experience on the country music scene. He is a country and irish entertainer and publican.
Johns first band "Sound Affair" was formed in December 1991.Sound Affair toured the irish and UK scene.
In March 1995, John formed "Cadilliac". He recorded his first album in '95 called "Dawn". As well as being a country music entertainer, John is a keen business man. He founded autocare - a tyre and exhausts repair business in March 1996 and was Managing Director there.
John also developed a petrol station, forecourt, convenience shop, restaurant and pub adjacent to Autocare which is adjacent to Autocare which was known as "Teach Sheain Mhoir".
Johns bar was acquired by John and his wife Evelyn in July 2009. John and Evelyn run a thriving business in their local town.
In 2008, John was busy on the music scene when he released an album entitled "Starting Over" which featured popular tracks such as "Mama Tried", "Fourteen Carat Mind" and "Ruby". An Irish flavor is also provided on this album with "Galway Bay" and "The cottage on the borderline of Galway and Mayo".The album features a new song "In my mind" which was given to John by a Nashville singer during Johns visit to the City.
John regularly plays to packed audiences at his Westport bar.
John has played with fellow country stars Robert Mizzell and the country kings, when Robert went on tour with his new show "Country and Comedy". Robert and his band headlined at Johns CD launch of "Starting Over" in December 2008 with proceeds being donated to Cystic Fibrosis Charity.
John also tours in the US. He has played to full houses in New York, Boston, Chicago and Philadelphia. In Boston, John played at the Mayo Association of Boston 100th Anniversary Banquet.John was well received by all his fans in the US after playing in Chicago, Boston and New York.
